Section 47 of the Local Government (Union Parishad) Act, 2009 deals with the village police of the Union Parishad. According to this section, the government will be able to form village police force in rural areas as per the demand from time to time and the government will determine the recruitment, training, discipline and conditions of service of such village police force. The village police will exercise such powers and perform its duties as directed by the government.
